Today i realised Singaporeans can add one more item to our list of pastimes-- Queueing.
I was at Isetan private sale this morning with Kaijie because i had to buy something for "Auntie Jessie". Like many kiasu Singaporeans, we arrived at 8.58am, hoping to be the one of the first to grab the items, but guess what!? There was already a beeline of at least 200 people raring to barge into the Isetan. So much for the power of a sale. It can motivate aunties to wake up early (i bet some of them woke up at 6am to make their way there!) , certainly a good excuse for working people to take half day off to do their shopping.
So, i complied a list of things Singaporeans would be sighted queueing for.
1) Sale. Need i say more? This four letters word appeal more to Singaporeans than sex
2) Free gifts. Standard answer.Singaporeans just lurvve free gifts. Surely u have queued for some free gift yourself?
3)Food. Make a trip to Tian Tian Chicken Rice or that delicious Hokkien Mee
4)Zouk. Singaporeans don't mind queueing from the the entrance of the club to the bridge behind to make some standard hand movements to the tunes of Square Room on Wednesday nights
5)Make passport. A queue in the Lavender Street will cost u a whole afternoon. And inside u thinking:" How come there are so many people passport expire/lost their IC everyday?"
6) Today Newspaper. There would be a beeline of people waiting for the arrival of the newspaper everyday. Good sign>> shows Singaporeans are anxious to know the news.
7)Singapore Pools. i almost forgot about this! The queue is especially long on Monday, Wedneday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday. This is so true for those places with good Feng Shui aka places which seems to have a lot of luck. Just see the queue during the Chinese New year $10 million draw, i have a lot of respect for those folks.
8)Wedding and buy flat. U tink u own ROM is it? Singaporeans have a thing for meaningful dates like 9 Sep 1999, 14th Feb and like 20/04/2004. Hordes of people get married but and have to take queue number to sign ROM okay! Buy flat also. Not very hot these days but still the electronic queue board at HDB still looks very daunting to me.
I am sure the list is not exhaustive but i can onli managed to come up with these for the moment. Can inform me if u know of anymore instances of Singapore's queueing record. See, Singapore just love queueing. Queue Up For Singapore!

I am chilling one corner now, just had dinner but already of Mcwings for my supper later. I am such a glutton, just keep eating, eating and eating.
Had a busy day, had a meeting with my big boss at HSA in the late morning then went to Youth Park to recce the place for my event. I am not doing some big business, just organising a blood donation. It is so seemingly weird that i am not viewing doing this event as a chore yet, nor am i feeling that i am some noble great fucker doing credit for the community. I think i am just passionate of training my organisational and leadership and i tink this event is a great platform for me to learn some things which cannot be found in books.
Anyway, dunno if you all know about this, i have been listening to this song since the album was released around april this year. I tink i have listened this song for like 1435 times and still counting. I can never get tired of this song and i dedicate this song to my dearest Ah Beng( Beng Kiat), cos he simply hate this song, while i simply love this song. So, he gets very irritated whenever i mentioned this song.
Aiyah i am god damn lazy to write down the lyrics of the song in this blog lahz. Anyway, it's Mariah Carey's We Belong Together!! Woo hoo..it's god damn nice, can? And no, i like this song not because i am pinning for someone else. This song doesn't mean the song reflects my feelings can? So dun read too much into my mind.
It is simply just nice. As i told Ah Beng, it is my song of the year ok!! Dun play play, this song spent 13 weeks @ #1 on the Billboard charts can??
P/S: Ah Beng, can learnt to like this song can? We Belong Together.

I promised my friend, Weizhong to write this blog.Title: My Most Gruelling 5 days of our life.
The past 5 days were hell to the both of us, both of us went to work together. The workplace was in Potong Pasir( surprise surprise) and both of us god damn travelling from west to Potong Pasir for 5 days. I give u a brief intro of what we went through.
Workplace: Potong Pasir
Job Scope: Sealing Ziplock Bags
Before u spew " what the fuck, sealing ziplock bags!??" yes, all we did was to seal up the ziplock bags, those which we used during army to put clothes and fieldpack items. No doubt, it is god damn simple, doesn;t take any grey matter up there in my brain to perform the task. I wasn;'t even using my brain when working.
It was horrible because we have 50,000 ziplock bags to seal, works out to be 150 boxes of ziplock bags lorz. It was madness because we were paid by project basis. Means that we were being paid a certain amount for finishing the work, not hourly rate. Both of us were determined that 1 week of work was enough for us, as we would lose out if we couldn't finish and spill over to monday. The result: Race against Time.
The working hours were 9-5.30, but the perm staffs start to chase us out around 5.15. I tell u, normally vacation job is supposed to be slack, and we would hope for end of the day to come. Not in this job. Both of us was hoping 5.30 wouldn;t come so soon, cos there were still stacks of ziplock bags waiting for us. I was still maintaining standard during first 2 days, ensuring every bag was sealed. By the 3rd day, i was starting to fuck care, and sealing 6 bags at a go. Weizhong witnessed my strict QC to a simply fuck care and being a devil. If you were me, would u stick to ur principle, or do what i did?
Anyway, we did managed to finish on friday, exactly on 4.15. We were god damn relieved that we dun have to come back on Monday! Yeahz...and we happily went to the office to collect our reward for our hard work. Both of us had the impression that each of us would take home $200 this week, but when we looked that cheque...It was $125!!!! WTF!!! and the extra $25 was given to both of us because we took longer than they expected..HUHZ???? so the whole thing was worth $200, not each person!!
I was of cos not very pleased because, it works out to be like $2.50/hr...less than what the Macdonald auntie would earn lorz, and i am a god damn undergrad!!! Stupid work, peanuts pay, wah lau i must be crazy lehz
Anyway, i tink i will go to heaven lahz, at least i did charity work this week by sealing ziplock bags. But on the way to heaven, i will curse the company first.

Watched Ma Xiaoling last night, the episode was pretty exciting, there was a scene where Ma Xiaoling doesn't want to wake up because she was escaping reality, so she chose to stay in her dreams. I guess there is always a escapist in all of us, so i shall see how my dreams differ from the reality.
Dream: I am a handsome, tall, suave young man.
Fact: I am short, ugly, fair young chap
Dream: I am rich, successful and drives a car
Fact: I am a pauper, and the only car i have is my kar(leg)
Dream: i am a cosmopolitan
Fact: i am a heartlander, yes very much one
Dream: Woooo, i am such a cutie and hottie and sexy
Fact: I am neither and i can only fake sexy
Dream: I am god damn popular, never fail to bedazzale both men and women
Fact: I am actually unpopular, have to beg people and never on people's mind
Dream: I am a very mild-tempered person, with a personality to die for
Fact: I am farking bad tempered, i stare at strangers who didn't even offend me, but just because i am unhappy. I swear u dun want to see me flared up.
Dream: I am Singapore's first professional tennis player
Fact: Far from that, except my temper on court can match Marat Safin
Dream: I dun need a relationship, or at least i dun care
Fact: I dun have doesn't mean i dun need or i dun care
Dream: I dun farking care what people think of me or say about me
Fact: Doesn't show doesn't mean anything
Dream: I can have a relationship or a fling anytime i like or i want
Fact: 22 and counting years thickness of dust collected on my shelf is simply amazing
Dream: I am always happy, carefree, optimistic about things
Fact: A negative and sometimes troubled by things in life as well.
Seems that i am happier than Ma Xiaoling in my dreams, where is Uncle Qiu? i need him to let me perform rituals on me to let me stay in my dreams. No Uncle Qiu??? Great. Time to farking wake up from my dreams.
