Friends who i have never met for the longest time always marvelled how i still look the same after all these years. In other words, they mean : " you still look and behave like u did 10 years ago!"
I am seriously in two minds whether to be happy or disturbed about it. Should i be happy that time seems to have frozen in my universal, whereas my peers are trying their best to remain in vintage condition
Or should i be disturbed that i have not progressed with the times? I haven't changed my looks and become more mature over the years?
In terms of changes in looks, on a scale of ten, i probably score a low of 2-3 whereas my peers can easily score 7-8. Don't ask me why, i dunno. But i am sure i didn;t go for any plastic surgery and i am convinced my peers didn;t go under the knife as well.
Did i look 25 when i was 17 or do i look 17 when i am 25 now?? Question marks all over.
In terms of character and outlook, i am even more confused.
I certainly dun feel i am 25, more like 18 or 19. Of course, i dun blast songs on my handphone on the trains or hang out at the void decks late at night. What i mean by that is my actions or behaviour is not restricted by my age. I dun see the need to do something because i am 25.
On the other hand, it is a fact that i am a working adult. And having seen many things and people, life experience is richer than i was 10 years ago. Undeniable fact. I gladly embrace the richer life experience actually. In terms of thinking and emotionally, i am different from what i was 10 years ago.
To throw in examples:
1) I have moved on from reading Lime and Teens magazines to The Economist and Business Week
2) I am not interested in reading The New Paper, moved on Wall Street Journal and Financial Times
No offence to ppl who read Lime, Teens and New Paper, really. My lifestyle just sort of changed
Who says i am still the same after all these years??

i know i have not been blogging for the longest time, much to the dismay of my loyal readers (as if there are any to begin with). Call it lazy, force of inertia or whatever, just lazy to satisfy my readers.
So i will make a couple of entries at one go
Start with F1
Held in Singapore last weekend. Probably had some difficulties in moving around for many Singaporeans because of congestions and road closures. But i think having F1 around is amazing. Walked around the area after work last friday. It was like a carnival at night! Just like the feeling i experienced in Wimbledon. We seriously need more events like this, Singapore is too serious! We need to loosen up, to make this place a fun place. And i caught the race on the racing night, the landscape of Singapore looks amazing in the glittering lighting.
It is quite impossible to think that Singapore has a F1 plus two casinos under construction. It is rather unbelievable. Of course, Singapore has made it explicit that we are modelling ourselves as Monaco of the East. F1 came 10 years late and casinos coming at least 20 years late. But i think it is better to be late than never. But lotsa of catching up to do for us, but our government has to make sure everyone is moving along as well.
